Deserves to have her oscar nomination revoked

She clearly doesn't act like she's an oscar nominee in her movies and in real life. She makes awful movies and she chooses the worst roles. Actresses her age like Emma Watson, Emma Stone, Emily Blunt, and Anne Hathaway are actually smart and choose good roles that are challenging and complex and help them grow as actresses. Kendrick clearly chooses roles that allow her to be obnoxious and slutty. She doesn't deserve the title of oscar nominee.

Shut up you muppet.

reply

Quite the contrary...

She should've been nominated a SECOND time for "The Last Five Years".

reply

What is there to revoke? Should we re-write history? Like the author of The Berenstain Bears clearly did? Should we create an alternate reality where Anna Kendrick's signature performance was as a talking head in a refrigerator and it all went down hill from there?

Not that you don't make a good point. She doesn't challenge herself. She's the movie star equivalent of that man or woman who gets married and let's herself/himself go.

reply

She should have been nominated for 'Rocket Science' (2007) and '50/50' (2011).

Ladies and gentleman. This is a prime example why we are loosing message board options.

This!

reply

exactly.

reply

what even did she fucking get nominated for? in what universe is this stupid and pointless and worthless "actress" respectable? she's only in stupid, moronic, and worthless comedies no one appreciates.

reply

She was nominated for Up in the Air. She was fine in the role - not really award-worthy but much worse performances have been nominated and won.

reply

ok that is a travesty. that movie looked ok but it's not he kind of movie which should ever get an oscar nomination. i mean it's a freaking george clooney movie. the only movie he ever made which was worthy of an award was syriana. have you watched up in the air? i mean it looked like fluff.

reply

I have... I wouldn't have put it up for many awards - it can keep Vera Farmiga's nomination, maybe the screenplay, that's about all - but I did find it an enjoyable and reasonably smart film. I much preferred it to Syriana, I have to admit!

reply

the worst oscar win because it was undeserved was jennifer lawrence's win for silver linings playbook. she was good but not great.
