Underage in 'Another Day in Paradise'?

I haven't seen the movie (which debuted at a film festival in May 1997 when Vincent was barely 18), but it's been said they had to cut one of "two explicit sex scenes" between Kartheiser and Natasha Gregson Wagner to get an R rather than an NC-17. Larry Clark does get very young (often underage) actors in controversial roles, but it seems like there was no controversy over Vincent's age here.

If you go to the movie's awards and nominations page, it says it won the Prize of the Preview Screening Award at the 1997 Mediawave Festival. If you click on the festival dates for that year, it says:

Mediawave, Hungary
Date: April 28 - May 3 1997 Location: Györ, Hungary

So either IMDb has the wrong date, or at least a rough cut of the movie was presented at the festival in 1997.

Clark is famous for movies which deal with teenage apocalypse ranging from the poignant to pure exploitation. "Bully" is his best work, "Kids" the most famous, and "Ken Park" the worst and most exploitative.

I need to see "Bully"... I've seen the other two, and you're dead right about those.
