I don't think anybody said his performance needed an Oscar nom----it's the fact that the film itself didn't get any nods for a nom except for Stallone himself.

I'm white and I think he was completely snubbed to be honest with you. I watched pretty much all the Oscar films that were nominated and some that weren't. Steve jobs, the Martial, and the Danish girl? Ehhhh. Michael B. Jordan should have gotten an oscar nomination. I can understand not a win since it was Leo's year, but a nomination none the less. He did a better job than Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs), Matt Damon (The Martian), and Eddie Redmayne (Danish Girl) in my humble opinion. Those were some questionable nominations. I feel like Eddie was nominated just for the sake of playing a transgender, Michael Fassbender just because he was playing a real life person, and Matt Damon just because the film did well since it was a best selling book. I've seen Matt Damon in better films where his acting was top notch. However, the Martian? I wouldn't have given him a nomination.

But hey, that's just one person's opinion and you have your own. :)

I think Jordon and Jackson for supporting deserved nominations. I'm not a die hard LEO fan but I thought the Academy got it right with him. I think Hardy deserved supporting the most but Sly would have been cool. I thought the whole Oscar thing was stupid and saw nothing racist about it. Social Justice warriors have too much free time these days.
