Its funny he said in HS he only liked light skin girls with green eyes

I was watching The Wood DVD(Special Edition) and he said this lol
He said u know back in the 80s it was all about light skin girls. He even said he wanted to get in a HS that had mostly light skin girls with green eyes lol

I understand what he's saying. I'm only a year younger than he, and back in the '80s when I was a teen, Al B. Sure and Christopher Williams were HOT! Although I am considerably lighter than Richard, back then, I would ONLY date boys my cafe au lait complexion or lighter....now, I LOVE my dark-skinned brothas! :D

light skinned black guys weren't as popular in the 80s as they are now. light skinned black guys didn't become popular until the late 90s or early 2000s. it was pretty much dark skinned guys before that (and with the help of michael jordan).

as far as I know, light skinned black girls have always been popular.
