Never Understood the Hype About This Guy

Brick was absolutely impenetrable pretentious twaddle. Looper was okay but vastly overrated. And so it should have come as no surprise that The Last Jedi was as mediocre as it turned out to be.

And yet this privileged white man still likes to pretend he's being victimised by incels, MAGAs, and Russia when people tell him how poor his Star Wars film.

Rian, YOU'RE NOT BLACK. AND YOU'RE NOT A WOMAN. No-one is victimising you. And the issues with your movie have nothing to do with giving strong roles to women and POC (Rogue One, a generally much popular film among the Star Wars fan community, arguably featured a much stronger female lead and a wider, and more heroic, group of ethnic minority characters). Your film fell short because of poor storytelling (were those people who praise the film's narrative watching the same film in which Snope is completely wasted, the side mission to Canto Blight amounts to nothing, and Leia's 'death' turns out to be a complete damp squib?)

MM, talkin about this hack, I can only quote the emperor:
Let the hate flow through you!

I'm personally hating a lot (has been fed up for the past 20 years to be honest, since jurassic park iii and terminator iii were given to nobodys) INCOMPETENT HACKS taking over ARTISTS WITH A VISION because hollywood "producers" think that a director should be just another techincian under their control.

I enjoyed Brick because I like the noir genre and the language. I thought placing it in a high school was interesting. I was good film, but far from great. I couldn't sit thru Looper. So I see your point
