People are getting sick of him.

But is it his fault or is it his PR teams fault?

People HAVE GOTTEN sick of him.

His fault

Been sick of him for several years now. He's too saturated.

reply

HATERS GONNA HATE.

reply

I've never liked him.

reply

Completely his fault. On top of being overexposed, he also appears way too cocky and sometimes, just downright arrogant (remember when he said he wants to be the next Bond?). He's also starred in nothing but shit movies for the past 12 years.

reply

XFL is flopping and now word is coming out he attempted to make the DCEU completely about him and Superman.

COME ON BRUH

The Rock makes a bunch of crap, then wonders why he has no real fans or following.

He made bad choices opting for squeaky clean, fast food movies. Jumanji was cool, but how many times do we have to see the Rock in a jungle?

He needed to go the Arnie, Stallone route and do some hard action or sci-fi action to get a fanbase. Where is his Rambo, Terminator, Conan, Rocky, Cobra, Commando, Running Man, Total Recall.

Starring in popcorn kids movies safe for China won't make you a movie star. He had lots of goodwill at the beginning, but now he's trudging water, and over exposed with nothing to show for it.

He thought he paid his dues and tried to cash his cheque, not thinking that the dues he paid were worthless, and now he's too old to start from the beginning.

Agreed. The fact he’s just announced a live-action remake of Moana, a film that’s not even 10 years old says it all as to how desperate he’s become.

He probably went begging to Disney when Black Adam bombed. Vin Diesel seems to have blocked Universal from allowing a Hobbs & Shaw sequel to go ahead as well.

Hopefully he just sticks to straight to Netflix crap now which is where most of his theatrical release films should have gone anyway.

On the other hand, I do hope he makes some more family-friendly action-adventure-comedies as he plays off against other cast members well in those movies.

The kids and I enjoy watching those films with him in it. Sadly, Baywatch had too much swearing in it so we had to stop that one. Can't blame him for We found Tooth Fairy but it was a bit too early for him and his acting was way off.

It's a shame Jungle Cruise cost $200m to make as it probably didn't recover its cost when marketing is considered.

Black Adam didn't really do it for us.

reply

He's a star who doesn't give a crap about quality or what audiences want to see, he just does things to boost his ego or the pay check.
