It annoys me that he isn't credited as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson anymore

Exactly!!! I thought I was the only one. He was my favourite wrestler as a kid, well him and Brett "the Hitman" Heart. I know he probably wants to be taken as a "real" actor now but he will always be "The Rock" to me.

It's something you'll get used to a mental mind *beep* can be nice!

It just annoys me that he is given scripts where he has lines.

I don't agree. Let's face it, wrestling is cool, but all wrestlers are actors, and mostly "poor" actors when it comes to acting ability. The Rock made his way out of that business and is getting a name for himself as a serious actor. It seems perfectly normal that he's not credited as "The Rock" in his tv shows/movies.

He probably just wants to separate actual acting from acting under his wrestling persona. It's been long enough that the next crop of fans would be asking who the hell is/was The Rock when they saw movie credits. It was necessary at first or no one would have recognized him.

He hasnt been The Rock for me for almost 10 years now.

Using the name "The Rock" brings expectations, good and bad, and it happened to go away several years ago when he had a string of flops.

His Instagram and YouTube are called The Rock, so he seems to be proud of the name.
