If there was a moment for her to win it was here. She gave it her all in those performances particularly in Marriage Story and it was not enough. I think the stigma of her as a sexualized superhero actress will kill her chances of winning the serious acting awards moving forward.

shareI think she was probably runner-up for Best Actress (Drama). The Globes were always going to find it hard to resist Renee Zellweger's 'comeback' playing Judy Garland. That type of role and story is catnip to them. Johansson is finally going to receive her first Oscar nomination this year - it's quite possible she will receive two, in fact. She will be fine.
