How long will she be able to hog roles and high production movies ?

From other female actors with her terrible acting? Watch out here i come with my so believable boyish angry face and Tyrion lannister height and look badass as hell. Angelina Jolie and Sigourney Weaver are the only actors ive seen been able to pull these types of characters. She cant act in any of her movies, be it Black Dahlia or the new Ghost in the Shell which looks like all the money of a potentially good scifi flick is wasted on this hack. She is also one of the weakest parts of the Avengers movies especially the 1st and 2nd one she got way too much solo time for her own good, it reminded me of jennifer Lawrence in Days of Future Past where the movie felt like it was built around her alone.

the girl in the latest tom cruise/ethan hunt mission imposslbe movie, well she can kick ass

reply

You sound like you're jealous of her sweet ass.

reply

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

reply

Terrible acting? She's not bad at all.

reply

Given the roles she gets I think she does a great job. And when she has larger roles in less action-y things she's actually damed good. She was really, really great in Ghost World and Girl with a Pearl Earring.

reply

agreed.

reply

Please, name one where she was exceptional. Cause all i could recall even at her best is average.

reply

I don't know about exceptional, but she's not as bad as some make her out to be. she was very good in Ghost World, Lost in Translation and Her (even if that last one was just voice work)

reply

She's also pretty good in Michael Bay's The Island. The movie itself is typical Bay, but it launched her career into the blockbuster movies goto choice.

reply

There is nothing outstanding that I can remember from any of her roles. But she's far from terrible.

reply

Actually, I take that back. She was very good in 'Her' and in 'Don Jon'. It's been many years since I've seen it but she was probably very good in 'Lost in Translation' too.

reply

About five more years. Then it's back to quirky independent films for her, with the occasional dramatic roles as she gets older. We don't have many fresh high profile actresses to take the places of our aging actress base, so she's never going anywhere.

Sofia Boutella or Alicia Vikander is the most likely to be the new go to girl for high production movies in the future. Or they can opt to obvious choices like J Law or Emma Watson. But yeah, Johannson is not going away soon.
