Would have made a great Doctor Who!

I think you're absolutely right. He would bring a different, wonderful kind of quirkiness to the role, building on the many different aspects of the characte discovered by Christopher Eckelston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, and Peter Capaldi in this most recent iteration of the series.
