NOOOOOO! Spoler Alert for SOA

WTF? It sucks when a TV show loses talent like this. I didn't want to see any of the Sons go, but did you have to pick the hottest and nicest one and then take him out so hard? A big F U to Kurt Sutter! I will not forgive.

I cried...and then I watched it again and cried even more. It really, really sucks. But it's pretty much inevitable. As much as I'm going to miss Opie, I think I'm going to miss seeing Ryan Hurst on my telly screen on a weekly basis as well.

reply

I won't lie. I saw this coming after last weeks episode. My husband didn't believe me, but I felt it in my bones. I am very devastated and hope this isn't the end of Ryan Hurst in the tv and movie world.

reply

I literally felt like I was going to vomit...had to leave the room and couldn't continue to watch. I don't like the loss of Opie at all, but it's really brave of Kurt Sutter to kill off a character that everyone liked.

I thought about it after that if it had been Clay or Tig--both of whom deserve to die--I would have felt nothing so this was the most personal choice and I'm sure a lot of viewers are shocked. It will be interesting to watch what happens since Ope is really the only person Jax can be absolutely himself with and now he has no true confidante whose agenda you don't have to question. In a way, Opie made Jax more "human" than Tara does. I'll miss Ryan Hurst soooo much.

reply

In Son of Anarchy sometime what you think your seeing your not. We can still hope. After his supposed death as Jax turns away you see a tall figure on the other side of the glass with long hair. This show is very good with bait and switch.

reply

That is one of the people who he was supposed to fight beating his skull with the pipe... :(

"This show is very good with bait and switch."

They didn't leave a whole lot of wiggle room on this one. That was gruesome.

calm the hell down! it is just a tv show. i wouldnt know how ryan hurst feels about it, but a lot of actors would have been thrilled and honored to be given such a meaty role, and he did an incredible job with it. he least three scenes he has done are forever seared in my memory.
to have such a fantastic death scene when the show is at its height of popularity should open up a lot of opportunities for RH. the only outrage would be if it doesnt.

reply

I have to agree with you geotalker. His death was really well done. Unfortunate? Of course, but I won't forget that scene for a long time!

Took me awhile to remember he was the QB in Remember The Titans haha.
