Michiel Huisman is everywhere!

Not only has Huisman's "Nashville" character been brought back for Season 2, not only has he taken over the role of Daario Naharis in "Game of Thrones." Huisman has also joined the cast of "Orphan Black," a fantastic BBC America series starring the extraordinary actress Tatiana Maslany. I cannot wait - Huisman is a terrific actor, and I look forward to seeing what he does with his various new roles.

Oh, right. So, she secretly trained a flock of sandflies.

Yeah, he's fantastic. I'm glad we'll be seeing his talent in all directions. Can't wait for GOT and Orphan Black.

No more half-measures

He's everywhere and yet for some reason, I didn't realise it was the same actor in all three of those shows. That's a major positive, though, for an actor. That way nobody could ever get sick of him for being in so many shows! Well me at least.

It's an ordinary high school day. Except that it's not.

He's a very good actor! I can't say I have any difficulty recognizing him, his face and voice are distinct, to me, but his performances are all very different. Especially impressive when one remembers English isn't his first language.

reply

That's exactly why: because his performances are all different. Not necessarily because he has a distinct look. In fact, he is very good at portraying the every man, which is perhaps why it's easy for him to blend into the background. Those are the best kind of actors.

I've been wondering why he looked so familiar (while watching Orphan Black). Daario Naharis... His performances are so different, I did not realize it. (I may be in the minority, but I prefer him as Daario Naharis over the previous actor.

He is amazing.

I am a little ambivalent, so far, about Huismand's Daario. He's a much better actor than Ed Skrein, and sexier by far, IMO, but his acting style is so modernistic, naturalistic, and the production's take is more period/spectacle. Not sure he really fits right. Still, I am always glad to watch Michiel Huisman in anything.

He's doing more real acting in "Orphan Black" than in anything since "Treme," which is wonderful to watch, and I do love his character.

I actually never realized he plays in both Game of Thrones and Orphan Black! Wow he is talented.
