Roy Hudd, who hosted BBC Radio 2's The News Huddlines for 26 years and also starred in Coronation Street, has died at the age of 83.

If you live in the UK and perhaps are of a certain age then Roy Hudd was one of those entertainers/actors/comedians who had been around forever and was always worth watching or listening to.

A familiar, always likeable face from TV in my younger days. I haven’t seen him in anything in decades but I was aware that he was still around... I actually assumed he must have been older than 83. R.I.P.
