Was he born in Jacksonville, NC?

His bio on his site, wikipedia, and IMDB all say onslow county, NC. I am from Jacksonville, NC which is onslow county. Does anyone know if he was specifically born in Jacksonville? Or does Camp Lejune not count as being Jacksonville?

He was recently featured in Essence Magazine, where his hometown was listed as Jacksonville.
