Beautiful woman with a personality that killed her career..

Does anyone remember how beautiful she was on the first season of the simple life? Looked like a Dutch supermodel. And.. her personality wasn't so bad at first, she spoke in a normal voice and seemed to have a tolerable personality. At this stage the public became enthralled with her and her popularity exploded in about early 2004.

But then the weird personality change. She began to talk in a baby voice, gave interviews saying incredibly stupid and elitist things and was seen getting drunk at clubs virtually every night. Yes she was into clubs before but it seemed in 05-06 she was completely out of control. The DUI and jail sentence was the final nail in the coffin for her, the public aggressively turned on her after that. And that Larry King interview she gave after her release from prison made her come off nearly borderline retarded. People were sick of this reckless woman child. Even her outward appearance drew criticism as she became ''ugly'' to other people I believe mostly due to her personality and behavior.

I really believe it all could have gone differently for her if she had just done one season of the simple life and not the others and stuck to modelling rather than being a ''celebutante'' drunk at clubs by the night. I believe with her looks and body she could have had a successful career as a model and a better public image. Such a shame.

how is a celebutante different than a socialite? i think of those two words as being the same thing. if what you say is true about her having a better career if she was just being a celebutante then isn't that what kim kardashian is doing being a celebutante and her career is still going pretty well?

i wonder why paris is not really famous anymore and the public doesn't care about her anymore? is it because you can only be famous for being famous for about 10 years? or is it because she doesn't want to be famous anymore and doesn't want to be seen by everyone when she does anything anymore?

what's weird is how she always acted like a bimbo and even fake talked like a bimbo. she never seemed like a real person with any substance or any intelligence or personality. that is really unlikable in a person. add to those things the fact that she always acted pompous and entitled and narcissistic and you've got a very unlikable person and a very bad person.

She’s one of the very first “famous for nothing” people with no talent who became popular. When you’re in that boat, all it takes is making a sex tape I guess.
