He is an adult though---he obviously changed his mind.

Well he is attending university in England, so he could be planning to leave acting behind after Bates Motel is over. He actually had finals this week.

In addition to Season 3 of Bates Motel it looks like he has a couple of films lined up. He seems like a pretty smart guy though who could leave acting if he really wanted to. If he didn't change his mind about wanting to leave acting I think he'll at least wait until Bates Motel is done.
