I watch Hollywood movies, and I have seen the Harry Potter flicks. Americans, if anything, act better than the British. The level of popularity should say it all in my opinion.
And what do looks have to do with acting??? Are you serious? It's basically a requirement in showbiz to be attractive. Otherwise, who would pay to see your face on the screen? Acting is not that big a deal, people can learn if they suck too much. Looks, are essentially, what separate the good actors from the bad ones.

Hollywood movies have more popularity because.. hmmm let me see... an American population of 306,656,000 compared to a United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland population of 61,612,300 and then the rest of the world who have your movies playing in their countries.

What do looks have to do with acting? Well maybe in America looks are everything, plastic tits, fake teeth, and so many face lifts you wipe your arse when you blow your nose, but here it's usually talent that is in our movies, not looks.

And who says British TV is better than America?.. You can see it clear as day in the quality of our broadcasts.

American shows are cheap, the presenters are cheap and the content is cheaper. It really is a shame.
