Terrible in Frankenstein

Saw the National Theatre version of Frankenstein last night and Naomie Harris was truly terrible - she would have been more suited to the role of the unanimated corpse.

Is this a one off or is she that bad?

I hated her in POTC, but after I found her passable in Skyfall I put that down to the character. I don't recall her being particularly good or bad in anything else I've seen her in but I fear fnext time I see her on screen I'll be distracted by looking for examples of bad acting.

Speaking for myself I haven't found Naomie to be 'bad' in anything - including Frankenstein (which was not a very well developed role IMO). She was great in her first role with Danny Boyle - 28 Days Later - and carried that film despite not being the star name. She created a striking character in POTC which was totally unlike any of her other roles - indeed she was virtually unrecognisable in it. I also thought she stole 'After The Sunset' from right under the noses of her then much more illustrious co-stars. I am certainly looking forward to seeing her play Winnie Mandela. She is clearly an actress of exceptional versatility, so I don't understand what it is you think you're criticizing exactly.
