While he had a famous father, I can't agree with you. Jared Harris is phenomenal actor and I'm certain he would've been just as successful and respected without the fame of his dad.

Such a tiresome point of view, I suppose that the children of successful parents should be cast out onto the street at 12 years old, so they can REALLY make their own way. Ridiculous.

Actually, your wrong. I didn't know till today that his Dad is Richard Harris. I first remember Jared in Lost in Space as the adult Will Robinson. Also, as Dr. Ashford in Resident Evil Apocalypse. I just saw him again in Lady in the Water. I also adored Richard Harris but I never put the 2 together. Jared is an exceptional actor in his own right, he doesn't have to ride the coattails of his Dad.

Not gonna lie, he is a very good character actor. But talent alone isn't what makes you successful, you also need connections. Hollywood is all about nepotism.

Being objective, all you have to do is watch his performances and you can tell he's an amazing talent with such subtle nuances to every character he portrays. I agree there are examples of actors/actresses with CONNECTIONS (Sienna Miller) who are abysmal but Harris isn't one of them.

Screw you. Yes, his father probably opened the door for him, but he had the talent to be an actor for last 27 years. If he didn't have the talent, he wouldn't have been able to do that.

While connections may get you in the door, without talent to sustain you, you'll be soon back out on the street again. It's called show BUSINESS, and it's ruthless. Stockholders care only about the bottom line, not the cast's lineage.
