I don't believe her quote for a second!

I did "Halloween 4" and Halloween 5 (1989) back to back, and I decided that horror movies were all I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It was going to be my thing.

After H4 and H5, she didn't do another horror film for ten years (a small support part in Urban Legend with like two scenes) and didn't do another after that until almost a decade later! Who is she trying to fool? If she was planning all along to be a horror actresses, why did she do every genre under the sun EXCEPT horror for all those years? Clearly she was typecast after trying and failing not to be and now is trying to save face by claiming it was all intentional. Year sure. Her last gasp for any kind of celebrity was by showing her breasts in the Halloween remake. End of story. Yet even that didn't last very long as she is now almost exclusively in no budget Z movies that are terrible. To make matters worse she has gotten so dull and lazy as a actress and phones it in nearly every single time. You can tell she feels it's all beneath her but she feels trapped and it's all she can do.

That's all good and everything, however, that quote is from the 90's, so...

She didn't mention anything budget wise regarding horror movies. Her in Hatch 2 and 3 were awesome.

Who cares, she's this generations queen of horror. She doesn't need to do anything else. I think someone's just a'trollin.

By the way, I am right behind you.

Your point?? And she's doing B movies not Z movies they aren't made in some kids backyard for a high school class. Also nothing wrong with low budget horror, low budget is way better than 99% of that mainstream crap people love, screw slick and over stylized music video looking garbage.

Well, the fact that she did do a lot of other stuff and came back to horror with "Urban Legend" at 20, when she was hardly washed up, says something. Maybe her parents or agents just didn't want her doing exclusively horror movies between 1989 and 1998?

The OP also faults for showing her boobs in "Halloween". But actually a LOT of leading actresses will not do that, even if they do it all the time in their more "legitimate" work (for instance, Amber Heard and Jamie Lee Curtis herself). The fact that she occasionally does nude scenes in lowly horror movies even though she's clearly not one of the really low-rent "scream queens" who ONLY gets hired to do nudity also says something about her dedication to the genre.

BTW, with "Halloween" she is only one of two actresses I know of in slasher movie history to show her boobs and have her character STILL live to see the end of the movie (although she is killed in sequel).

way late to reply, but, there are no Scream Queens anymore - they tried that with Emma Roberts and she and Scream failed miserably at passing on the torch

Neve Campbell was the last one, and her reign ended 16 years ago
