Would make a great Wolverine

If (when) Marvel gets the rights to X-Men, Tom Hardy would make an incredible Wolverine. I love Jackman but he's not getting any younger. If there's anyone else that can successfully take the torch from Hugh, it's Hardy IMO. In fact, I pitched my ideal X-Men movie on my YouTube channel and re-cast the entire thing. It would work, Wolverine is shorter than Jackman.

But I'd rather see him play a historical figure. Like British WWII Special Forces Commando Captain Cedric Holland. His boss Ian Fleming immortalized him as 007.

Now that the Dieppe Files have been declassified, his story should become better known. He disappeared parachuting into Normandy just prior to D-Day, his body was never found. More than likely the Nazis cremated it.

If Marvel got the rights and say they fast tracked a movie to come out in 2019 after Avengers 4, and they cast hardy as wolverine that would work. Granted it wont happen but its fun to dream.

The only issue with Wolverine is I think Mr. Hardy has other comic book based projects in mind and wisely he wants to keep his projects a nice mix. And they are probably going to want a commitment for more than one movie for Wolverine and he is already committed to more Mad Max movies for starters.

Yeah theoretically if they recast Wolverine so soon they would need to do it now. Who knows maybe he wants to play another DC character or something.
