Jon Hamm as Jack Kerouac, please!

I am currently doing a lot of research on Jack Kerouac. And every time I see a picture of him, I think to myself, please let there one day be a biopic with Jon Hamm starring as Jack Kerouac. What do you think?

reply

Sure, that might work. Such a Jack Kerouac biopic could play as an arthouse double bill with The Barack Obama Story in which he could play Republican representative Darrell Issa.

reply

I've just started watching Mad Men and in an early episode someone mentions Jack Kerouac and I couldn't help but think Hamm looks just like him.

reply

The last director who did On The Road made a huge mess of it. I agree Ham would be great as Kerouac but where is the script?

reply

That would be great, except that Hamm doesn't want to play another character that is in that era, I don't think. Which is a shame because he's perfect for it.

reply

I don't think Hamm should play Kerouac as a young man, as in another adaption of On the Road, but JK at the end of his life in the lead up to his death at aged 45 from alcoholism.

reply

He looks nothing like Kerouac. Now Daniel Craig, he's a dead-ringer for Kerouac. Still young enough to play him, too.
