Confused

I really dont understand why he got tired of doing dexter, was it the writing because it got so bad? Im really curious on it in the sense that he never has been the main character in much only in that one small comedy, even in peep world he was far from the main, in kill your darlings hes an antagonist and not one of the protagonist, in six feet under the show wasnt even based around him altho he was one of the main, maybe hes going to get bigger roles because hes out of the show? I dont know, it doesnt seem like hes going to be the one to get all these main parts, he really hit the jackpot with dexter, the character needed very little emotion for the most part, he was the main character and still had the easiest role, good pay, i just would like to know his motive, its mysterious to me.

Well I certainly dont think he was bored of Dexter. With his medical history im sure he was tired. Contrary to what you might think, his role was far from easy. Playing someone like dexter can take a lot out of a person, its mentally draining.
I believe your opinion of the writing it subjective, As far as it has been expressed Michael quite enjoyed his role and the writing. But after 8 years even your most loved costume needs to be retired.
Michael is a great actor and hes proved it time and time again, I doubt he will struggle to find his next role.

I believe you are right. He has pretty much said that in interviews - that he wanted to do other things. And he has, and will continue to do so.

Going back to Broadway...you would think his damn agent could get him something better.

Alright, I know it's fun to work on Broadway but how many of us are going to get to see him on Broadway?
