Oscar Certifiable, Land of the Lost

I don't know why he never got an Oscar nom for his portrayal of Enik in Land of the Lost. Was it because they did not have to use make-up on him for a role that traditionally required it?

EDIT: Well, I guess I mean an "Emmy" nom since I'm referring to his role in the daytime series "Land of the Lost". Not that awful dark romcom movie remake with Stevie Wash Jr.
