You think of him as younger because he was so full of life on Soap and Benson but he was already 50 years old when he started that role.

Sorry to hear of his passing. I don’t remember him as much from Benson as I did Soap, but he was a hoot in both. I did look him up not all that long ago and saw that he was really getting up there in years.

I always thought it was hilarious when the doorbell would ring at the Tate mansion, and Jessica would look at Benson, and he would look back at her and ask her if she wanted him to get the door, to which she would reply, it would be nice 😀
