what is it about Brenda???

I have to admit I got annoyed with Sarah on B&S but I kept reading all this great stuff about Rachel, so I watched the first season on Six Feet Under. Amazing. Rachel as Brenda steals every scene.

I love her on this show! But I can't figure out why. Is it the intriguing character or her awesome chemistry with Nate? Any ideas as to why she is so great?

I wonder if I go back to B&S if she won't annoy me anymore....

There are just so many layers of that woman that it's impossible not to be intrigued.

True. Its a very well-written character. Now I appreciate Rachel's character on B & S much more. Not sure why that is, but I do.

She's a terrific actress. For more examples of her fine acting watch 'Muriel's Wedding', 'My Son the Fanatic' and 'Hilary and Jackie'.

Indeed. And she played her so well. I'll admit that due to my SFU love I'm biased towards Sarah on B&S and she's one of the main reasons I'm still watching (it's gone totally and utterly OTT soapy).

Anyone who's a fan of Rachel NEEDS to see her at Brenda on SFU. She's in her element. Every word she speaks aches with her traumatic past and messed up mindset.

I hated the character Brenda. Honestly loathed her. For me, the entire show was about her getting her comeuppance. She was a manipulative whore, in my opinion. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but we obviously reacted in very different ways to what was a great character drawn by a master.

She was fantastic! Absolutely magnetic. I wish she would do more film work. The woman could be Oscar bound! She's a Kate Winslet in disguise.
