Hypocrite is right. Pathetic.

Wow this is your quote David :

"[on independent film-makers] Kevin Smith is the only one I don't like particularly. I respect most of them. He's the one I can't identify with in any way. He kind of created a Special Olympics for film. They just kind of lowered the standard."

And look what you're making? If Kevin Smith created the Special Olympics of filmmaking what did you do? Amazing.

You are disappointing on a million levels. What happened to your integrity. You're a millionaire already. Why keep doing this current string of utter garbage? 'The Sitter' are you serious?

Insane.

reply

he's overrated anyway. Stay humble, stay hungry. That's what I say.

reply

Every time I see a trailer for one of his films post "Snow Angels," this quote is the first thing that pops in my head.

How does one go from being the next Malick/Cassavattes to doing the s--t he's been doing the past few years?

reply

After Your Highness, he has no right to rag on Kevin Smith.

What a shame.

Jesus is my Best friend, but he still won't loan me money.

reply

I won't lie, I like Kevin Smith way more than DGG, but Your Highness was his Cop Out. They've both made bad movies, but at least Smith has never ever claimed or pretended to be anything more than he is, and I respect him for that.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.

reply

Given that The Sitter is out now, I was hoping to find a thread like this.

I don't hate DGG (I liked Pineapple Express and have kind of a sneaking admiration of Your Highness), but how much of a hypocrite is he?

Then again, with Smith's Cop Out, they're both kinda circling the drain, creatively.

------Jesus loves you, but only as a friend.------

reply

Absolutely worthless film, outside of Natalie Portman in a thong.

reply

Cold Hard $$$$$$$$$$.

reply

It's actually not worthless, because some people think the movie is funny. That would make it not worthless.
