I've found him to be a likeable actor in everything that he's been in, but somehow he manages to play a very different sort of role here without really changing his mannerisms.
I don't expect every actor to be a chameleon, but it would be interesting to see him play a genuinely sinister part or something equally different than his usual cheerful aw shucks type.

Granted, he worked well as David Duke, considering that's the type of image he projects, despite espousing some deeply divisive rhetoric. (To put it politely.)
