I still don't like him.

By the national drought and summer long heatwave of 1988 George Bush Sr. acknowledged that global warming was upon us and it was a serious threat. That was soon forgotten over idiotic comments about being up to our necks in owls (like any of us have ever actually seen on IRL)

Al Gore had 8 long years to do something about it and did nothing.
Then he decides he's going to come out with a movie and talk about. Not a scientist, but a friggin politician. Was this a deliberate attempt by a former Tabacco family plantation owner to politicize an issue that should never have been politicized. That said he was coherent enough to be believed by the establishment members like Lee Iacocca but the right wing's collective heads exploded and thought it was a political issue.

Exxon Mobil fearing scientific findings would hasten the end of the use of oil (as if peak oil has nothing to do with it) started a multimillion dollar campaign to brainwash the public into fueling global warming denial and doubt.

Exxon funded global warming denial for years and they are still at it. Gore is partly to blame over this.

Forty public policy groups have this in common: They seek to undermine the scientific consensus that humans are causing the earth to overheat. And they all get money from ExxonMobil.
