Agent Everett K Ross

Any updates on filming his scenes for Black Panther?

Also hoping that he makes a cameo with Dr Strange or Iron Man just to watch tumblr explode!

He confirmed his role in Black Panther last month. Currently he is promoting BBC Sherlock, hence no more updates on Black Panther so far. Personally I'd like to see him work with more other actors apart from Cumberbatch. That is none of my business anyway.

I am honestly tired of people insisting Martin work with BC again and again. Like if working with BC is the only interesting thing Martin has ever done. And in every instance, they cast Martin as the sidekick/comic effect to cumberbatch's hero. Martin deserves better than that. Black panther will start filming in two weeks and I more than looking forward to Martin be a BAMF CIA agent. Plus he might share screen again with Andy Serkis after Hobbit. Far more exciting than the BC-MF pairing.

Agree.

Couldn't agree more. I like them in Sherlock together but that's it. And for my money Martin is by far the superior actor, he has a realism and courage to work outside his comfort zone that I admire so much. BC seems to be happy to go the Hollywood route and keep doing much the same characters over and over again, which is fime if you like that sort of thing but it's not for me.

Martin has such incredible range its a shame he was so underused in Sherlock. Back on to topic, Black Panther has started filming and Martin is in Atlanta right now. It should be interesting to see what he does with the role. i dont know much about the comics, do you think it will be a big enough role for him?

I don't really have any expectations and am unlikely to see it until it's on DVD and I can fast forward to see Martin's bits. Largely standing around in a bad suit talking like an American I should think. I loathe comic book movies and I think it's a waste of his talent to be perfectly honest. Those sort of films do like to use really good actors as opposed to movie stars in the suporting roles as some sort of credibilty boost or something and I think for the actors invvolved it's a bit of fun and a large paycheck but I can't see it actually being anything that stretches him as an actor.

I'm just really disappointed that Funny Cow's scheduling change has meant it clashes with this nonsense and he's had to drop out when that was the film I was really looking forward to. I'm pretty sure Paddy Considine has taken the role he was going to play and he'll be great and Maxine Peake will, as always, be amazing and it will get loads of BAFTA and BIFA attention and I'll love it and be sad that Martin was pretending to run around a jungle or something instead of being in a really great female lead indie. But, you know, that's probably just me. 😉

*chirp*

At first it was grinding hearing him with an American accent. But then I became used to it; it sounded really natural.
