BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ...... shelved project ? ?

Back in January 2013 it was announced that FRANCO was going to direct in play JAY SEBRING in a movie entitled BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE about the men' hair-stylist and his rise to fame in the 1960s. Four years later, I have yet to see this come to be; anyone know the scoop ? Was the project shelved ?
