I liked him better in Humble Pie than his solo stuff.
He rocked hard in the Pie.
shareHe's all over Youtube, and what I like about him in these later years is he seems so happy and healthy and eager to play and can fill any role asked of him. There's a clip of him playing Mississippi Queen with a chair-bound Leslie West, playing behind Gary Brooker in one of Ringo's traveling shows (and through out the concert, of course), a nice interview with Rick Beato, all kinds of stuff. Caught him playing Black Hole Sun, I swear, the same night just before I heard about Chris Cornell.
He admits to being very influenced by jazz guitar and just seems like a genuine and enthusiastic person.
There was a time where I loved Humble Pie and hated Frampton Comes Alive, but these days I try not to be so black-and-white judgemental about music, especially from people I just like overall.
Yeah, he definitely seems like a cool dude. The guy smiles all throughout interviews and looks like he's high on life. He doesn't seem like the guy who lived a typical rockstar lifestyle.
shareHumble Pie was better without Frampton. Lol.

I agree, but he was still better in Humble Pie than his solo stuff.
shareHere's a great cover of Frampton's "Show Me The Way" by Dinosaur Jr:

I've always heard of Dinosaur Jr, but didn't know any songs. That was a solid cover.
