The real reason we don't see Tina Fey in movies anymore

There was something about Liz Lemon that spoke to everyone who was a fan of 30 Rock — which was most people. When the show came to an end, we were left wondering what would be next for the writer-turned-actor who made everyone feel as though she'd be the most awesome friend in the world, and the best ally to have on your side. We've seen her on the big screen a couple of times, often alongside BFF Amy Poehler, but lately? Not so much. So what's going on with Tina Fey now, and why does she seem to be giving movies a miss?

Sadly, this article is pretty accurate. As a big fan, I feel really disappointed that she doesn't seem interested in making another movie any time soon :-(.

That, or her movies have largely bombed.

I also think she's probably not a great actress, really, and mostly just plays some version of herself. I also think she does this within pretty narrow confines and doesn't take much in the way of risks of any kind. Can you imagine her in a sex scene or maybe briefly topless? I doubt she can, either, which kind of limits the kind of roles she can get put into. Her range is very narrow.

YEAH...IT'S TOO BAD TINA DOESN'T DO A LOT OF TOPLESS SEX SCENES....THEN SHE WOULD BE A GOOD ACTOR.

No, but she would be demonstrating an acting range beyond what amounts to Liz Lemon and her SNL personality, which are about the same.
