Colin Farrell on youtube said he would like to do IN BRUGES 2 SEQUEL?

Colin Farrell on youtube said he would like to do IN BRUGES 2 SEQUEL if Martin McDonagh has a script. Look for Joe meets Colin Farrell to talk The Lobster, Harry Potter and a sequel to In Bruges. I have contacted Martin McDonagh agent a young chap working there said he has no influence but would pass emails on to martin. Rhia Douty [email protected]

I would kind of be sorry to see a sequel to "In Bruges" as I admire the ambiguity of its ending. But if it makes Colin happy it makes me happy. So standing by.

Does depend how good a film it is and can Martin McDonagh think up a story. I hear in around 2004 he stayed in Bruges and at the same time the hotel the film was done which gives some very good ideas

I like the cult status of this movie. I am not sure whether a sequel would turn out all right without Brendan Gleeson’s character in it.He was one of the main factors along with Ralph Fiennes’ character and their relationship with each other made this movie what it is.

I think they would need two excellent actors to replace Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes. But I was thinking they could go back to when they were younger to tell the story of what it was like and how there relationship started. Would have to be very well scripted as seems like only one person had been to Bruges before 1st film

I have always thought that a sequel is not the way to go. A PREQUEL would be more interesting to me. How did Ray and Ken meet? What happened before they had their unfortunate experience with the priest and the boy? I kind of want the story to end the way it did, but looking back to how it all started would interest me.

Yes I was sort of thinking myself that it could be about showing Ray is alive and what happens to him and how his life has turned around. With a look back to Harry Walters to it seemed to be saying was abused by his dad and it only seemed to be in deleted scenes showing why he had become so angry. Also Ken seemed to know Harry very well from about 25 years before so likely to have other stories. Plus Ray seemed to imply Ken was gay when not obvious?

CF only alludes to "In Bruges" in passing, so it's questionable how seriously we should take the prospect of a sequel or a prequel. Much more interesting to me would be the film version of "Swim Two Birds" that he speaks of toward the end of the video. Such an amazing piece of Irish literature. I'm holding out for that.

Take a look on you tube a video asking Colin Farrell about making a sequel. Joe meets Colin Farrell to talk The Lobster Harry Potter and a Sequel to In Bruges. It's over five minutes long and very interesting video?
