That I will watch even if the movie does not sound good. For example I will not watch musicals. But if Vera was in it I would watch it. Just like Bates Motel. I have watched every episode. But if Vera was not in it I would have never even started watching it.
sharewe are pretty much on the same page as i feel Musicals are one those genres that's near universally disliked amongst us guys. but if she was in one, i would be forced to give it a chance (but thankfully she's not been in one).
for the record... i have seen a large portion of Vera's filmography and the only movie i could not finish due to boredom was Closer to the Moon (2014). but with that said... after i stopped watching the movie, i just fast forwarded to the Vera sections and watched those.
as far as Bates Motel... i am pretty much in agreement with you. but i still have some episodes of Season 4 to see as i still need to see Episode 6 on forward. but in all honesty that show is somewhat so-so as my interest in it is straining which is kinda why i keep putting it off but after checking it's only five episodes i got to see and ill be up to date so i might do it soon. but typically if i need my Vera fix ill just re-watch one of the following five movies... Source Code/Up in the Air/Running Scared/At Middleton/The Departed.

What made me start this board was I just watched this last night.
Joshua (2007)
The movie was OK but Vera was outstanding.
Vera did not have a lead role in this:
Nothing But the Truth (2008)
Kate Beckinsale had the lead but when Vera was on screen she was awesome.
Like I said if Vera is in it I will watch it.
i have seen both of those. but i did i like Vera's smaller part in Nothing But the Truth (2008).
both movies are ultimately forgettable for me though. but Nothing But the Truth is the better overall movie of those two in my mind.
