Random

Thought it was time we had a random thread.

Captain Chris is second in Forbes list of highest grossing actors. It's awkwardly phrased and sounds as though they're the highest paid but it's not. It's the actors who bring in the most money for their films. In fact, Chris probably beat RDJ into third place because he doesn't get RDJ's pay cheques so Chris gives a better return for his money.

We already knew this but here it is again.

And for the second year in a row, Chris was the highest actor in the making money for the buck, which is not just the highest grossing but who makes the most profit return on films

SOOOO is this a good thing OR does he need a better agent angling for more money. 

I think he's in for a substantial pay rise for Avengers 4...

Avengers 4 is the last Marvel film that Evans is committed to. His original contract had him through three only, but like Downey – whose contract ended after Iron Man 3 and who's been negotiating huge re-ups for every one since – Evans extended for one more. Better believe he got paid for it, too. "Oh, yeah," he says, laughing. "They didn't punch their Chris Evans card – like, 'You get the seventh one free!' Yeah, no."

Chris has the same agent as Scarlett and RDJ - Jim Toth. (Reese Witherspoon's husband) Suffice to say they've all received enormous raises over the course of their Marvel contracts.

The Marvel films are so lucrative that even RDJ was on the top 10 list for best bang for you buck.

This latest list though has the same problem as the previous one where Gwyneth Paltrow was credited for the B.O. of IM3 as much as RDJ. Then that false equivalency was used as an example of the gender pay gap in Hollywood. Nonsensical.

This one has Scarlett topping the list with two supporting roles and in Hail Caesar she was pretty far down the list in terms of screen time. (which also under performed and may have lost money and thus worked against her in the Best Bang For Your Buck list ) One might as well add her 5 minute snake voice over from Jungle Book. But they don't because they don't count voice work. It's all a bit wonky.

exactly! being part of the cast of many lucrative films and becoming to grossing is good, means you are part of a lot of hits, throughout the year, which is good for any actor, and it's not easy to be in movies that make money at the box office... but to get a good margin profit for each dolar he was paid, it's even better!! returns it's what studios want!
And yes, after the 1st Avenger, all their salaries went higher, some like Hemsworth and Ruffalo even got a higher listing in the titles after RDJ's name. Who knows what's Chris deal, but I'm sure it's good enough that he gets to make one movie per year and enjoy spending the rest of it with his family back in MA.

If you look at what Seb Stan's done since CW and then what Chris has done you can see who has worked harder, but then two different people with to different mindsets on what they want to achieve in their careers.

to compare properly, I would say Chris Evans to Chris Hemsworth, both leads in their movies, doing other movies where they are leads too.
It's obvious Hemsworth worked harder to stablish himself as a star.
