Change of surname?

I know that he took the name Embry from one of his grand-parents. However, I still think the name Randall is much nicer. If I were him, I would've stuck with Randall. After all, it is his fathers name. The name Embry is a bit unfortunate as it sounds like the word 'embryo'. Why ethan, why????
