Most Ideal 007 Contender

Idris Elba - the first dark-skinned Bond, pretty cool right?

Tom Hardy - once declared as one of the best-dressed brit actors, Bond indicator right?

Aidan Turner - young but owns the "it factor", could be the younger 007 that people are dying to see, right?

or it could be these hunky guys here - http://www.spectalist.com/most-ideal-james-bond-contender/

Idris Elba: Too old, has already said he doesn't want to play Bond. Definitely out.
Tom Hardy: Too famous at this point. Bond producers don't hire A-list cinema stars. Definitely out.
Aidan Turner: A possibility.

Of the others listed on that site:

Tom Hiddleston: Weasel-faced, lacking the Bond look and style. Although heavily rumored to have been considered, he has said the stories aren't true and comes across as ambivalent. He's not my choice for the role.
Henry Cavill: Already considered once (for Casino Royale), but now too well known as Superman to be Bond. Definitely out.
Michael Fassbender: Considered a possibility by some.
Hugh Jackman: Getting to be too old. The producers reportedly consider him "too fey" and he himself has said he doesn't want the Bond role. Too well-known as Wolverine. Definitely out.
Damian Lewis: A possibility.
James Norton: A bit young and soft-looking for the role.
Sam Worthington: Also was a finalist for Casino Royale. A possibility, but getting old.

Remember, the Bond producers don't want a big-name A-list movie star, which rules out Jackman, and they don't want someone already famous for another iconic role, so that rules out Cavill. They want people who are young enough to be believable in the action scenes and will be signed on for at least 3-4 films, so that rules out some of the older actors here. They also want people who want the role, which rules out Elba.

The next Bond will likely be someone in his mid-to-late 30s and possibly someone we haven't heard of yet. At any rate, there's no definite word they're recasting the role and the next film isn't expected until 2018 so recasting may not happen until 2 years from now at the earliest, and by then Elba will be 46-47, Jackman will be 50, and other names may pop up in the meantime. And the list on that website looks like something they just came up with on their own, there's no reason to believe any of those actors are being considered for Bond. It's just clickbait, nothing more.

Considering the next Bond movie will be a sequel how do you explain him turning black?

Idris is not "too old" to play Bond. He's like 44 or something. Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan averaged the same age throughout their times as 007. Roger Moore even played the character into his late fifties. Lazenby was the youngest being only 30, and we saw what that level of maturity did to help him secure more Bond films. Even Daniel Craig started as Bond in his late thirties and played his last film at age 47. So early/mid forties is the median age for a solid Bond actor.
As for whether or not Elba wants to play Bond, he still hints at the possibility. If the role was actually offered to him by a director instead of calling him "too street" then I'm sure he'd jump at the chance.

The same way they "explained it" when Connery returned for his last 007 film after I think it was Lazenby. With a "break the 4th wall", clever Bond one-liner and then on with the film.

Elba may be 44 but at present there is no real reason to believe that Craig is leaving; in fact, he's indicated the opposite. So if Craig returns for one more Bond movie, that means the next one won't be until 2020 at the EARLIEST....meaning that Elba will be 48 by the time the movie hits theaters. That's too old to be starting off as Bond. And yes, Moore played the role into his late 50s, but by then it was clear he was getting too old for the role. They'll want to avoid doing that again.

And I'll be honest...everything I've seen him in lately, he looks older than 44. He looks around 50. He's not aging well.

Now, about wanting to be Bond...I've heard multiple radio interviews with him where he's asked about Bond and you can hear it in his voice that he's annoyed by the question and is sick of hearing about it. He's come flat out and said that if he was offered the role he'd turn it down; he doesn't want to be known forever more as "the black Bond" which is exactly what would happen. HE DOESN'T WANT THE ROLE. I wish his partisans would figure that out.

He's not going to be Bond, ever.
