Joel's Masterpiece - The Gift.

Gosh, this is a good film.
Watching again on Foxtel on vacation at Surfers' Paradise.
So good on so many levels.
Joel creates a sense of claustrophobia with the close-ups in the modernist house.
So much so, the designer house becomes a type of prison.
The close-ups create a heightened sense of unease, suspense and dread and vulnerability, the viewer fears an intruder will emerge into the frame.
