I only wish

his (talented) actors could\would AR-TI-CU-LATE! You just don't understand -and I'm French Canadian!- what his actors say. Very unpleasant.

It's as if they would have studied at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Catherine Deneuve. Just like her. And Fanny Ardant. And many others.

The first thing actors must know is to make understand to the audience what they are saying. Not mumble. or something else.

Great actors like Jean Gabin, Michèle Morgan, Danielle Darrieux, Fernandel, Lino Ventura and all the others, you could understand what they were saying. Everything. Just like Deborah Kerr in English. Un vrai plaisir. Pas une torture.
