Since when don't they have English subtitles? You just choose the subtitle language on the DVD menu... Unless you mean subtitles at the cinema? If that's the case, then naturally, they are subtitled in English where I am, here in Australia.

Are you living in Québec or France? Since they're French-speaking countries there wouldn't be English subtitles, and I think it would be iunreasonable of you to expect them to, but if you're living in an English-speaking country, then I don't understand why there wouldn't be English subtitles. So - if you're not living in Québec or France, then I don't understand your question.

Well...I know Quebec sometimes would like to think it is a country but until then, it is still technically a province and part of the larger country called Canada where they also speak English (they also speak English in Quebec if you ask nicely!) :)

If a DVD is released in Quebec it is released in all parts of Canada in the same format, it should have subtitles since not everyone in the country speaks the same language. If not then I wonder if a different region number would have

I don't think that the original post made any sense, and since that person didn't reply to my post, it's possible their post (which we took seriously) was just trolling... A lot of English-speaking people have chip on their shoulder where other languages are concerned, as well as a sense of god-given superiority in which non-anglophones should learn English, and English speakers shouldn't learn other languages. :(

I understand what you mean, English is not my first language, in fact I have only been speaking it since late 2007 and I am still learning always. My spoken English is better for me then my written, but I think it's not that bad. I will still watch some films in language I recognize better. I don't think people should feel bad about subtitles whether they are English subtitles or not, still it's a great thing to know other languages because you can read books and watch films in so many other countries :)
