I remember when he peaked back in the late 90s/early 00s but since then NOTHING.
Which leads to my next question, what happens to all of those past Hip Hop stars who aren't releasing top 40 hits anymore? It was like every 3 years there was someone new making the scene until smartphones and streaming killed the creative process and then we ended up with mumble rap (trap) music lingering around for much much longer.
DMX's style of rap also faded out by 2008 as it was replaced by Jay-Z copy cat Kanye West and his narcissistic lyrics then along came Drake and all the other pubescent Hip Hop/Rap acts which again centered around narcissism more so than having a message.
