Peters Alaska connection.

Been researching his ancestry.

Anyway, the origin of his surname is of Norse descent and is roughly translated to "little anchor" in English and comes from the root word "dincklor".

When the Romans first came to Alaska from approximately 1250-1300 they brought these little people with them which were the dincklors.

The dincklors were hooked up to chains which were fastened to trees and were used to lure lions out so they could be captured alive and used as a revenue source via the circus circuit, etc, around the world.

Eventually that era of time was called the "dincklor age" or the "little anchor age" and ultimately the area was dubbed "Anchorage" by the English to reflect it's history.

So Peter comes from a long line of little people known as "little anchors" because that was one of the few trades available to little people back then.
