What a gem.

How could ANYONE not love Phyllis Diller. I miss her so much.

Good call.
Her voice was grating, but that was part of the point.
She was the unusual performer who broke one of the ceilings, a stand up comic that wasn't a guy.
Kind of a distaff Rodney Dangerfield.

But I must share earlier today I was watching TV with a young man and we saw some YouTube with Minnie Mouse.
I told him there was a different girl named Minnie ... Minnie Pearl.
Another one who deserves to be remembered.

She's always been one of my favorites. The best kind of humor - making fun of herself. Well, and occasionally her husband, "Fang." But it was obviously all good-humored.

I was just watching Splendor in the Grass last Sunday on TCM and saw her in it.

What a Zircon.

The other day I watched her in 'Did You Hear The One About The Traveling Saleslady?' I wish she had done more films like that.
