What are the Emmy's problem with Bones?
They nominate the same shows each year. Mad Men, 30 Rock, etc. She deserves atleast a nod.

shareI completely agree that Emily deserves at least a nomination, but I think Bones is one of those shows that doesn't really fit in either of the Emmy's categories. It's too funny and light-hearted to fit in with the primetime soaps and plot-driven procedurals in the drama category, but it's too dramatic and revolves around something too serious (the murder cases) to fit with the sitcoms and be considered a comedy. That balance of drama & comedy is why I love Bones, but the Emmys tend to ignore shows like that.

Boston Legal was a similar program ..... comedy/drama
The cast won many awards

I totally agree. I mean its going to be hard to put her and the show into a category(drama or comedy? I don't know) but acting as a odd super intelligent scientist with having no awareness of popular culture should at least get her a best actress nomination. House seems to get nominated and its a show that is light-hearted, but then again has a lot more drama than Bones, but oddly never wins. Even Hugh Laurie never wins. I mean I like Brian Cranston but come one give Hugh an emmy! If Emily and Hugh ever wins an emmy, I would totally be very happy.
shareThis annoys the hell out of me. If you win an award every year it loses all meaning, I don't know how many Mad Men and 30 Rock has but more than 2 should be enough! :P
sharecrime shows are never nominared for anything! at least not network crime shows.
