I finally got around to watching last Monday's "Rizzoli and Isles" on my DVR, and saw the preview for this Monday's (08/22/2011) episode of "The Closer". I was shocked to see Roxann Dawson's face and hear her voice on my screen. I thought she had given up acting in favor of directing and producing. I would love to know who convinced her to get back in front of the camera so I could hug them!

shareRoxann has directed four Closer episodes. The cast/crew most likely talked her into being a guest star. Like you I would love to hug that person, it is really good to see Roxann in front of the camera again.

Never heard of this actress before, and saw only a couple of episodes of Voyager.
Never would have connected the two unless someone hadn't mentioned it on the Closer board. She's beatiful! That Klingon makeup did her an injustice!

I thought that was her when I was watching tonight, but I hadn't been paying attention when they were rolling the guest credits.

Yeah I was also very surprised to see her, especially since I wasn't sure at first it was really her.
BTW she looks great, over 50 and counting-no way!
She is a really good actress, and should be in front of the camera more.
Amazing performance.
I think she was amazing on Voyager too, when the writers gave her a chance. That show was so hit or miss. B'elenna and 7 should have had a more intense relationship--like Chief Johnson and Captain Raider. Lost opportunity. But Dawson really shined in The Closer. Happy to see she got a Special Guest Star credit. She must be well liked and respected. The Closer is amazing and I'm glad she's a part of it.
Hopefully this will get Dawson in the mood to be in front of the camera again.
She's proof that kingdoms can be hot.
