Good actor but...

In my own opinion I think that John Francis Daley is actually (at least in Bones) a quite good actor. However those films he was involved with as a writer (and director) is just a mess. They are supposed to be funny but they are not. He is not a great writer, not even a good one. At least when it comes to comedy. Maybe the Spider-Man reboot is more in his league so to speak. Just seen Vacation and it the funniest thing in the whole movie was the Main Title sequence...and that`s it. But as an actor he is better so please stick to that instead of writing comedies.
