Top Notch

I was introduced to Dale in The Pacific and really liked him. With his performance in 13 Hours, he sealed the deal. As a (former) Marine, I find him very credible in his roles as a military man. I look forward to his future movies.

I agree. He was awesome in 13 hours. I remember first seeing him in The Departed and could tell from that small role that he had great screen presence.

Utah! Get me two.

I've also been a fan since The Departed.

He has these top notch roles, as you named your thread.

He carried his OWN tv show for heaven's sake, that was one of the best written and acted intelligence thrillers on tv, "Rubicon" but it was canceled.

Then he got the plum role all young actors must dream of...a role in the HBO follow-up series to "Band of Brothers," when he starred as Leckie in "The Pacific."

That was the putative starring role!

Then he knocks it out of the park in the unbelievably bulked up Rone in "13 Hours."

He was the heart and soul of that film, in a high energy, excellent cast. He really pulled it off.

Why oh why don't we see more of him? Thing is, maybe he's just selective?

But certainly after the big guns of HBO and Spielberg cast him in "The Pacific," he was a made man in Hollywood?

Anyway any time I can see him, I'm there...

Don't forget his role in Flight. He's only in the movie for about five minutes but pound for pound it's legit one of the best performances I've ever seen.
