Wasn't he dating Alexis Bledel?

I thought I remembered reading that he and Alexis Bledel were dating during the last couple years of Gilmore Girls? I really like them both. I thought they looked cute and would at least look like a good couple in real life (granted, I don't know them, so I can only go on looks).

Does anyone know if they were/are together?
