What do you want to see next for Matt?

With who should Matt work with next? What should Matt do next? Guest star on a tv show, do a movie? Which show? What movie?!

Name it! :)

It shows what a rough occupation acting is. Matt was the first GG regular to land a new show (Gravity)...and then the show fell through due to production problems. I'd personally like to see Matt as a regular on a good show on a good network because I'd like to see him as a weekly character like the wonderful "Logan" on GG. But mostly I just want him to keep working and continue being successful. Movies, regular or guest star roles on TV. They'd all be great. I was hoping that Matt would be added to "Friday Night Lights" because of his champion athlete background or maybe even to "Men in Trees" since the dreaded D. Rosenthal and one of last season's GG writers have been added to that show's writing staff. "Friday Night Lights" is adding a new coach who comes from Tennessee.....Matt is from Tennessee and a champion athlete. C'mon NBC....what could be a better match!!

Matt loves FNL so I think he would like to join it.. :) and one couldn't ask for a better match no.. I mean Tenessee?! that part is written for Matt!

Men In Trees, I knew David Rosenthal went there, but who else?!

I read that besides Rosenthal M.i.T. hired Jennie Snyder from the GG 7th season staff. I will never forgive D.R. for the way GG ended and Snyder just happens to be one of the two writers who penned the Rory-Logan breakup episode. Without question the worst written, most error filled episode ever on GG. The characters were all so OOC that it was like the writers had never seen a GG episode and knew nothing of the characters. It was actually painful to watch in more ways than one. Maybe it would be better for Matt not to be involved with this twosome again. Just writing this brings painful memories.

FNL would be a perfect match for Matt. A quality show worthy of his talents and background. C'mon NBC.....!!

I don't hate DSR or the writers that much... I liked S7 for like 99%, the 1% that I didn't like was the R/L break up :)

I've never seen FNL so I can't be a judge of that.. but NBC should totally hire him! :) It would be a nice big network for Matt, and Matt is known among GG fans, so maybe more people will tune in ;) They could use the ratings :D

I also want Matt in a big film.. I hope he's looking for something.

I was DSR's biggest fan..thinking he was unfairly criticized about Season 7 until:......the last 2 episodes of GG. He let the actors including Lauren and Matt have influence over the storylines and it was not good. This included Lauren having a rewrite of the finale and Matt having the R/L breakup. We know that Lauren, with a producers credit, had influence over the storylines and that Matt's personal preference was for Rory to be out on her own at the end.
AS-P would never have allowed this. Milo wanted AS-P to kill off Jess and she refused, for example. I didn't have to have R/L get married to end the show but the breakup was out of nowhere and made absolutely zero sense. Committed couples like R/L don't split that easily just because one of them didn't get a job offer. It was beyond absurd and insulting to viewers who knew the characters and story histories. R/L could have stayed a couple with the understanding that Rory would be going out on her career. That would have made sense and been believable. Having said this I must also say that I loved the way they had Logan mature into the smart and talented businesman we knew he could be. Also liked Logan becoming a success on his own terms. So DSR was doing just fine until the last 2 eps. They were absolutely awful.
I agree that Matt deserves to be on a quality show and a quality network. He is such a talented actor. And he would be perfect on FNL too. Looking forward very much to Matt's next project!! btw..congratulations on passing 100,000 posts on Matt's fanforum site! Way to go!

alexis also wanted Rory to end up single.. and maybe it was good that DSR listened to them, because they do know how they want their characters to end up. They know them best
Milo wanting to kill Jess off was dramatic, because GG was never a show about death, at least not the death of somebody close, it was always somebody we didn't know. Though I do get your point ;D

yeah 100,000 is big! We're happy! :D

I hope we hear something soon.. Even if it were a movie project :)

From all reports it is obvious that DSR listened to the actors and followed the ending storylines they wanted. I just agree with AS-P that this is not always the best way to go. The actors should, mostly, stick with acting and let the producers and writers do their jobs. The end result for GG was totally disastrous. Alexis & Matt may know their characters but unfortunately the two writers of the b/u ep. knew nothing about the show's history or character development. So many errors...from Chris being pro-R/L marriage at the end of S6 to being "shocked" at the wedding proposal. From Lorelei going from kitchen bonding two weeks earlier to a backstabbing shrew of a potential mother-in-law...to Rory suddenly listening to every word Paris said after 7 years of totally dismissing her rantings. And on and on and on to the b/u itself which was completely botched. Definitely not like the Palladinos and surely the work of a cast that had been given, by everyone's admission, input into storylines and even dialogue. The Exec. Producer (DSR)is supposed to rein in the show and keep it on track. DSR totally let the ending of this great show get away from him. I am one that really hopes a reunion movie from the Palladinos will become a reality. There are so many things to fix.
And Mv said he wanted Jess killed off because the character was so tortured and troubled......such a pessimistic character.....AS-P correctly said "No".
I do believe that DSR is a good writer and he obviously knows talent because he is very supportive of Matt. Just wish he'd have steered GG to a good ending.
I hope we hear something about Matt soon too!!

I think it would be cool to see Matt in a horror film. You know like Texas Chainsaw, or House of Wax. Don't know why, it be cool though!
